Viewer video catches close-up look at four mountain lions in Calaveras County
ARNOLD, Calif. — A KCRA 3 viewer in Calaveras County caught a rare video of four mountain lions on his property Friday. Mark Kubinec said the mountain lions were together on his ranch in Arnold. He said the property is about 50 acres and adjacent to U.S. Forest Service land and the North Stanislaus River Canyon below McKay's dam.

New team opens up Sundial Film Festival to global filmmakers for 2025 return
NORTHSTATE, Calif. — After being canceled in March of 2024, the Sundial Film Festival is starting up again under new leadership. Northstate filmmakers Tyler Faires, Tyler Lockamy and T.L. Green are the three people taking on the Sundial Film Festival, which they announced on Aug. 17 at Faires’ “ACID Canal” documentary premiere in Redding.
