RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) - Today will be a brutal one, for sure. Very hot temperatures and extreme fire danger headline the weather today. A strong upper level ridge of high pressure will be right over us today, resulting in temperatures above 100 degrees across KOTA Territory, even in parts of the Black Hills. And unlike earlier this week, gusty winds and low humidity today will combine to produce extreme fire danger across much of the area.
