Officials investigate suspected human trafficking after police stop in Heber
Around 2 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 15, a Heber police officer noticed a car on U.S. 40 just north of downtown that was weaving out of its lane. When he stopped the car, the driver had no insurance and said he left his license at home in New Mexico. The officer became suspicious when a database check found no records to indicate the man has a driver’s license in New Mexico or elsewhere.

Crash involving a stolen car closed down SR-201
MIDVALE, Utah — Police say a stolen vehicle was stopped on state Route 201 and Bangerter Highway Monday afternoon. Unified Police Department says the car was stolen around 1100 East and 7200 South in Midvale, before continuing onto SR-201. Police say they spiked the vehicle, causing the car to crash.
