A new kickoff: UMA Camp Williams excited to start 8-man football
There will be another high school playing football next fall as Utah Military Academy (UMA) Camp Williams in Lehi will take to the gridiron in 8-player football. A key figure in all of this was lead administrator Paul Schulte, who was a longtime administrator in the Salt Lake School District and at Highland High School and was hired by UMA in the middle of the 2023-24 school year. Switchpoint receives $3.8M from Church of Jesus Christ, Walker and Miller funds
SALT LAKE CITY — Switchpoint, a nonprofit organization that combats homelessness and poverty, announced $3.8 million in new funding Thursday. WEST JORDAN — The West Jordan Police Department is holding an outreach effort meant to get information to Latinos on getting driver's licenses and driving privilege cards. The Driver's License Resource Fair set for Saturday, geared more specifically to Spanish speakers, also aims to foster ties between police and the broader community.
