Breaking: Man dies by suicide in Walnut Grove following a domestic violence incident
WALTON COUNTY, GA (July 16, 2024) – A man died by suicide in a local business parking lot in Walnut Grove yesterday following a domestic dispute that occurred in the Loganville area. Maj. Scott Whisnant from Walton County Sheriff’s Office said one person was injured by gunshot during the initial domestic dispute.

85-year-old dad arrested for allegedly fatally shooting son during fishing tournament
OVINGTON, Ga. (TCN) -- An 85-year-old man was taken into custody for reportedly shooting and killing his 60-year-old son during a fishing tournament last week. On Friday, July 12, at 6:55 p.m., Covington Police Department officers responded to a shooting call on Lakeview Drive and found Troy Eaton dead inside a building on the property. Police said the suspect, Wayne Eaton, was still on the scene when officers arrived, and he was taken into custody.
