Jonesboro Man Accidentally Shoots Himself
JONESBORO, Ark. – An accidental self-inflicted gunshot wound sent a young man to the hospital this week in Jonesboro. It happened around 9:45 AM on July 2, 2024 on Richsmith Lane. Initially, police were responding believing the incident to be a suicide attempt. The girlfriend of the victim had made the 911 call, but was out of the county, which caused some of the confusion. Authorities cleared the scene and detectives arrived to process evidence.
Woman Arrested After Repeated 911 Calls
JONESBORO, Ark. – A woman who called 911 on several women found herself going to jail after police arrested her over the weekend in Jonesboro. The incident went down between 8:45 PM and 9:37 PM on June 30, 2024 in Jonesboro. A resident on Belt Street contacted 911 in a frenzied state to report that a window had been busted out. JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) – A Marion man faces multiple charges after police said he broke into a home to find an ex-girlfriend after they had been arguing. Craighead County District Court Judge Tommy Fowler found probable cause on Wednesday, July 3, to charge 34-year-old Justinian Marquette Smith with residential burglary, first-degree criminal mischief/property of another with a value of $1,000 or less, and third-degree assault on a family or household member/apprehension of immine.
