Former Central High basketball coach Brian Ross joins Colliers

University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Appoints Andrea Stewart as Interim Chancellor
Andrea Stewart has been selected to serve as interim chancellor of the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff is a historically Black university within the University of Arkansas System. The school enrolls roughly 2,200 undergraduate students and 200 graduate students. Women represent 56 percent of the undergraduate population.

LITTLE ROCK (KATV) — The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) College of Pharmacy has named a new J. Thomas May Distinguished Endowed Chair in Oncology. Marjan Boerma, Ph.D, director of the UAMS College of Pharmacy Division of Radiation Health and associate director of basic science in the UAMS Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute was named in a June 25 ceremony.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — In August, a qualifier event for the largest start up competition in the world, called the Startup World Cup, will be right here in Northwest Arkansas. "The Startup World Cup is a worldwide competition put on by Pegasus Ventures out of California. They work with regional organizations across the world to host qualifying events where startups entrepreneurs have the opportunity to pitch locally. Arkansas Ultrarunners at the Western States Endurance Run
This past weekend, three Arkansas ultrarunners participated in the Western States Endurance Run. Erich Washausen of Prairie Grove, Ashley Gramza of Little Rock, and Alex Staten of Fayetteville joined 372 other runners from around the world. In total, 288 runners completed the race. Washausen finished the course in under 28 hours and 54 minutes, while Staten crossed the finish line after the 30-hour cut-off. Unfortunately, Gramza dropped out at mile 78. Washausen and Gramza shared their reflections on the race and the supportive community that made their participation possible.
