Jonesboro Man Accidentally Shoots Himself
JONESBORO, Ark. – An accidental self-inflicted gunshot wound sent a young man to the hospital this week in Jonesboro. It happened around 9:45 AM on July 2, 2024 on Richsmith Lane. Initially, police were responding believing the incident to be a suicide attempt. The girlfriend of the victim had made the 911 call, but was out of the county, which caused some of the confusion. Brynlee Hamilton, of Arkadelphia, has recently been crowned 2024 National American Miss Arkansas Princess. The 7-year-old is the daughter of Kandice and Derek Hamilton. She will be competing for the National Title of National American Miss in Orlando, Florida, during the week of Thanksgiving. State pageants are held annually nationwide. National American Miss’ mission is to encourage America’s future leaders and equip them with valuable life skills.
