Dover Police Apprehend Driver After Hit-and-Run and Open Container Violation
DOVER — Mr. Victor Romerro Aleman, 44, of Dover, was driving a 2014 Ram R25 on Saturday, June 15, at 12:05 a.m., when he exited the parking lot of 112 East Blackwell Street and struck a parked 2009 Mitsubishi Eclipse. After the collision, Mr. Aleman fled the scene but was later located on River Street. Mr. Aleman, who was unlicensed and under the influence of alcohol, was apprehended by Dover Township Police Officer Errick Williams.

NJ man who kidnapped, raped ex-girlfriend gets 40 years
DOVER — A convicted rapist who trapped his ex-girlfriend will spend at least the next three decades in prison. Jesse Meneses, 38, of Dover was sentenced to 40 years in state prison on Friday, according to Morris County Acting Prosecutor Maggie Calderwood. He will not be eligible for parole until 2056 and must also register as a sex offender under Megan's Law.

A South Jersey man drowned in the Delaware River while swimming off of a beach at a national park in Pennsylvania, officials said Saturday. About four hours after going missing, divers retrieved the body of 24-year-old Jeysson Ariel Osorio-Reyes, of Jackson Township in Ocean County, off Milford Beach at the Delaware Water, National Park Service officials said.
