2 Lane Temporary Bridge Open on Route 15 in Jefferson
JEFFERSON, NJ – The much-anticipated temporary bridge over the Rockaway River on Route 15 is now operational according to New Jersey Department of Transportation. Two lanes are open one week ahead of the initial schedule. Route 15 was closed in the area on June 4 when the road was found to be unsafe. The issue arose during the construction of a new bridge to replace the 124-year-old bridge. The Town of Warwick approved a new local law amending its short-term rental code at its July 11 meeting. Randolph man who killed, dismembered teen resentenced to 50 years in prison

Community events are planned in Hawley, including free evening movies in Bingham Park
Movies in Bingham Park, National Night Out and a community-wide yard sale are three of the special events this summer for everyone to enjoy in Hawley Borough. Scott Mead, the borough's public works supervisor as well as the Hawley fire chief, is coordinating the second season for Movies in the Park. He said at the July 10 council meeting that they are held on the last Saturday of the month, beginning at dusk. The first one was held July 5 (rescheduled from June 29). The series runs through December, when they are planning two movies around the time of Hawley Winterfest.
