What a Week on the Lake!
Kicking off the July 4th holiday week was an amazing lakeside fireworks display which lit up the sky at the Lake Hopatcong Yacht Club on Friday, June 28. This spectacular light show was fully visible from my perch at the nearby Garden State Yacht Club where live music and pool parties filled the week at this club on the lake.
Gabby Hieber of Wallenpaupack Area named to All-State softball team
HAWLEY — Gabby Hieber has been playing organized softball since the age of five, working hard every day to get better at the game she loves. This spring, Hieber helped lead Wallenpaupack Area to a second place finish in Division I of the Lackawanna League and a deep run at the District 2 Class 5A tournament.

According to NYSP, on Sunday, July 7, around 12:40 p.m., troopers responded to the area of 2362 State Route 97 in Pond Eddy—east of Lackawaxen along the state borders—for a reported drowning in the Delaware River.
