The 34-year-old gunman accused in the slaying of a 21-year-old Independence Township woman and her puppy fired shots as the rest of the family slept, court records state. Anthony J. Garvin, 34, of Netcong, Morris County is facing first-degree murder and second-degree unlawful possession of a firearm charges. Authorities have identified a 21-year-old woman as the victim shot and killed in Warren County last week — for which a Morris County man has been charged with murder.
