Shooting suspect killed 21-year-old, puppy as family slept, authorities say
The 34-year-old gunman accused in the slaying of a 21-year-old Independence Township woman and her puppy fired shots as the rest of the family slept, court records state. Anthony J. Garvin, 34, of Netcong, Morris County is facing first-degree murder and second-degree unlawful possession of a firearm charges. He made his first appearance Wednesday in Warren County Superior Court and has a detention motion scheduled for Monday, said Kevin Brotzman, chief assistant prosecutor of Warren County’s Major Crimes Unit.

Murder charge: Young NJ woman was shot and killed with puppy
Authorities have identified a 21-year-old woman as the victim shot and killed in Warren County last week — for which a Morris County man has been charged with murder. Amanda Pulver, of Independence, was shot on June 27 after 8 a.m. along Alphano Road, according to Acting Warren County Prosecutor Anthony Picione.
