Officers arrest woman for resisting, fire lane violation on Herritage Street.
A woman in Kinston was cited for a fire lane parking violation and arrested for resisting a public officer on Thursday, July 18, according to the Kinston Police Department. Authorities say that they were called to 2407 N Herritage St. about a vehicle parked in a fire lane. According to officials, officers began addressing multiple fire lane violations. During this time, Marilyn Fields, 66, attempted to drive away from the fire lane, per officials.
