Annual Furniture Amnesty Day held in City Park
The 2024 Furniture Amnesty Day in Manhattan will occur 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 26 in City Park. FAD is an annual event which allows Manhattan residents to donate old furniture, letting others pick up the old furniture at no cost. According to the Kansas State Staley School of Leadership, 355 pieces of furniture were saved from landfills at last year’s event.

Manhattan-based diamond dealer Manashe Sezanayev has been indicted Thursday (July 25) for alleged fraudulent practices against fellow jewelry merchants.
