If there is one food that makes my mouth water it is STEAK! Just looking at the photo above makes my mouth water. Steak is a delicious protein; there are so many ways to prepare it and so many different cuts. There are several fantastic cuts to choose from. Everyone has their favorite but for me, I love ribeye, filet mignon, t-bone, and porterhouse! I would have to say it's a toss-up between the ribeye and filet mignon.

June is Foster a Pet Month in NJ thanks to this North Jersey teen
Over the last year, a North Jersey Girl Scout has successfully turned her passion for animals into a statewide effort to advocate for the importance of fostering pets. Sophia Gillen, of Mountain Lakes, has been working on her gold award project, the most prestigious award a Girl Scout can receive, for just over a year. The project is called "Phenomenal Foster Pets" and is made up of various components including a proclamation from the governor and a fun patch to encourage advocacy for fostering pets.
Hawthorne Fire Dept. Band: Still Making Music After 100 Years
HAWTHORNE, NJ - The Rolling Stones have been around for 62 years but they have nothing on the Hawthorne Fire Department band, they've been making music since 1924! In 1931, according to the proclamation, the band "participated in the Labor Day Firemen's Parade in Washington, DC where they were duly recognized in competition and continued to prosper during the Great Depression." The band has given many concerts throughout the borough and for shut-ins in nursing homes throughout the state. Starbucks Seeks To Open Verona Store
Take this to the bank: Starbucks is looking to open a store in the former Chase branch at the corner of Claremont and Pompton Avenues. The coffeehouse chain had tried to go through the Verona Planning board in May, but its application was re-directed to the Board of Adjustment. It was supposed to have had a hearing there on June 13. The zoning board’s docket proved to be too crowded that night, so Starbucks’ team will make their case at the July meeting.
