SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WANE) – For a second time this week, Ethan Salas mashed at South Bend to help the TinCaps win, 4-3, at South Bend.

The TinCaps have won four straight games, their longest winning streak since a 7-game streak from May 15-22.

Ethan Long and Nick Vogt each smacked a RBI double in the second inning to give the TinCaps a 2-0 lead. South Bend cut the deficit in half in the bottom half of the second, making it a 2-1 game.

Salas slugged his second long ball of the week to right field in the top of the sixth inning. The 2-run blast turned out to be the difference-maker after South Bend scored a pair of runs in the bottom of the eighth inning.

Fort Wayne continues their road trip at South Bend on Saturday. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. at Four Winds Field.
