8/19 Inside The Zone – Week One Preview

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – The 2024 high school football season gets rolling this Friday night, and each Monday from now through Thanksgiving Justin Kenny of Optimum Performance Sports will join WANE-TV sports director Glenn Marini for your weekly edition of “Inside The Zone,” bringing insights, predictions, and prognostications to their 15-minute show!

With Snider and Bishop Luers both bringing home a state title last season, there is plenty of intrigue in the SAC this fall. Snider opens its 2024 slate at home against Indianapolis-area power Warren Central – a program the Panthers beat last season – while Luers will host Leo in your first Highlight Zone “Game of the Week,” as the Lions are coming off a trip to 4A semi-state.

At East Noble, new head coach Alex Steward takes over, as the Knights will be one of the teams to beat in Northeast Eight conference play this fall. The Knights open with Bremen on Friday.

Adams Central has reached the 1A state title game each of past three seasons, but this fall the Jets will step up into 2A. On Friday Michael Mosser’s team will head to Garrett to face an up-and-coming Garrett squad in one of this week’s top match-ups.
