    He's in the game: See what this SouthCoast native is rated in new college football game

    Get ready SouthCoast college football fans, a new video game is out this week.

    EA Sports College Football 25 video game is set to be officially launched on July 19 with some of its players receiving access on Monday.

    More than 11,000 players are expected to be in the game and with more to follow in the coming week, according to EA Sports. College stars Quinn Ewers, Travis Hunter, and Donovan Edwards will grace the cover of the newest video game.

    The last time EA Sports had a video game was back in 2013.

    One of the players in the game is from The Standard-Times’ coverage area.

    Cameron Bariteau, Colorado State, Wareham

    Position: Defensive tackle

    Overall: 75

    Standout attributes: Strength (91), Awareness (88), Tackle (81), Hit Power (81), Power Move (80)

    A year ago, Bariteau started every game except for one and finished the season with 20 tackles, including nine solo. He also had .5 sacks against Utah Tech and Nevada and picked up a fumble recovery against Washington State. The 6-foot-1, 300 pounder has a total of 45 tackles during his time at Colorado State with 40 of them coming the past two years. Prior to Colorado State, Bariteau, a Wareham native, played at Wareham High from eighth grade to 10th grade. He reclassified as a sophomore at St. Paul's School in New Hampshire and then went to The Peddie School in New Jersey for his junior and senior years. He is the son of Chad and Traci Bariteau, and has two older siblings, Cy, a brother and Cali, a sister.
