WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – A Warren man reported that he returned home from vacation to find bullet holes in his house.

Police were investigating an unrelated report around 10 a.m. Monday in the 1100 block of Hayes Ave. SW when a man handed an officer a plastic bag containing a shell casing and slug. According to a police report, the man told police that he returned home after a two-week vacation and noticed bullet holes in his house. He said he found the spent slug in his home and the casing in the front of his home.

The man had no idea when the shooting had occurred.

Police observed a bullet hole in the front window and screen, as well as another bullet hole on the side of the house.

Dispatch did not receive any reports of shots fired in the area, the report stated.

    A report was taken.
