Police identify Barre man killed in I-89 head-on crash
Authorities have released the name of the man who died Wednesday evening in a head-on crash on Interstate 89 South in Montpelier. Jason Ball, 50, of Barre was driving north on I-89, near Exit 8, shortly after 7:30 that evening. Vermont State Police say he crossed the highway median in his car and struck a southbound sport utility vehicle. Ball was not wearing a seat belt; he died at the scene.
