DPS passes vote to ban phones district-wide
DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) — The Decatur Public School Board of Education passed a vote that will institute a district-wide phone ban starting Aug. 12. The Board voted on an amended policy, in which high school students are no longer allowed to take their phones out of their lockers during lunch periods. Now, all students must keep their phones in their lockers or another locked receptacle provided by the school.

DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - Demolition is underway of the former Durfee School in Decatur. The City of Decatur shared video of the demolition on its Facebook page Monday. July 17,2024 – The Decatur Park District and The Decatur Indoor Sports Center held a ribbon cutting Wednesday to celebrate the opening of its new HIIT Studio. H.I.I.T stands for High Intensity Interval Training and the DISC says the new facility has all of the tools needed to get your heart pumping.
