The Washington County Sports Hall of Fame inductees, from 1986 to 2023
The roots of sports in Washington County run deep. If you want to know just how deep, study the stories of the 209 members of the Washington County Sports Hall of Fame -- with four more set to be inducted on July 20 at Elks Lodge No. 378 on Robinwood Drive in Hagerstown. It's a who's who of county sports history. The first class of 10 was inducted in 1986, with additional members added each year with the exceptions of 1992 and 2020-21, when COVID-19 postponed the annual proceedings.
