    DC police: Man had over $3.8K in stolen Lululemon merchandise in car

    WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) arrested a man who had almost $4,000 in stolen Lululemon merchandise.

    On July 20, officers with the Robbery Suppression Unit were on patrol in the 3400 block of 12th Street area in Northeast D.C. when they saw a car commit a traffic violation.

    The officers conducted a traffic stop and found over $3,800 stolen Lululemon merchandise in the car along with illegal substances.

    Officers arrested 30-year-old Charles Mitchell-Baynes and charged him with felony receiving stolen property and possession with intent to distribute marijuana.

    MPD was still investigating the case.

    Anyone with information was asked to call (202) 727-9099 or text 50411.

    A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered to anyone with information that leads to an arrest and indictment of those involved.
