3-star C Seal Diouf commits to Georgetown

Seal Diouf , a three-star center in the 2025 class, has committed to Georgetown and head coach Ed Cooley , he told On3.

The 6-foot-8 big man from the Dunn School (CA) is originally from the Netherlands. He broke down his decision in an interview with On3.

So, why Georgetown?

“Choosing Georgetown was a combination of many factors,” Diouf said to On3. “The school’s academic reputation and its rich basketball history are its own thing. Georgetown has a legacy of developing top-tier talent and I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to be part of something great. Additionally, the location in Washington D.C. offers a unique experience both on and off the court. I’m blessed with the chance to be part of such a vibrant and diverse community.”

Diouf’s belief in the coaching staff also led to his decision.

“Coach Cooley and his staff provided a sense of genuine care and commitment, not just to the game but to the players’ overall growth. From our first meeting, they were open about their vision for the program and how I fit into that plan. I felt an immediate connection with their approach and philosophy.”

In his own words, what type of player is Georgetown getting in Seal Diouf?

“I want to help the team win in whatever way I can. It is a dream of mine to contribute to winning at the next level. People like my activity near the rim but its the other parts of my game I’m looking to expand.”

He has a message for Georgetown fans.

“Georgetown fans, get ready for an exciting season! We’re building something special here. The energy and support from you all mean everything to us.”

Diouf is unranked in On3’s Top-150 Player Rankings, but he does clock in as the No. 254 overall prospect in the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 30 overall center and the No. 22 player in California.
