    49-year-old man charged with murder in Northeast DC stabbing

    WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — Police said a man was charged in connection to a deadly stabbing that happened in Northeast, D.C. on June 18.

    Shortly after 4 p.m., officers with the Metropolitan Police Department were called to the 5200 block of Foote Street, NE to investigate a stabbing.

    At the scene, police found 60-year-old Gary Ronald Day of Southeast, D.C., who had been stabbed multiple times.

    Police said he was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries but later died.

    After a weeks-long investigation, detectives arrested 49-year-old Ronald Lamont Levi of Northeast, DC on July 26. He was charged with Second Degree Murder while Armed.
