    Barricade situation after shooting in DC resolved

    WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — D.C. police said officers resolved a barricade situation in Southeast Sunday afternoon after a man was found shot nearby.

    The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said its officers and an Emergency Response Team were at the 3200 block of 28th St. for a barricade situation as of 4 p.m.

    MPD said officers had initially responded to the area to investigate a shooting at around 2:45 p.m. There, officers found a man who had been shot. He was unconscious and not breathing.

    MPD said to look out of a man wearing a dark burgundy shirt with black shorts.

    In an update just before 7:50 p.m., police said that the barricade had “concluded without incident.” MPD was still investigating the shooting.
