The New York Jets are set to take on the Washington Commanders to kick off their preseason schedule this Saturday at MetLife Stadium. Jets coach Robert Saleh spoke to reporters on Tuesday discussing the upcoming game and had great things to about Commanders coach Dan Quinn.

“I love DQ, elite human being, elite mind, elite motivator.,” Saleh said . “Everything about him is unbelievable. You spend a minute with him and you’re going to want another hour. He speaks the right messages. He treats people the right way. He demands the most.

“He demands and commands the most out of everybody. Really happy for him. I know they’re excited about that quarterback too, so really excited for him and Adam Peters, their GM, they’re going to get that franchise turned around.”

The Jets and the Commanders are two franchises whose fanbases desperately need them to be successful sooner rather than later. The Jets are finally on the right track with four-time MVP quarterback Aaron Rodgers back healthy and ready for a big season.  The offensive line has been rebuilt and the defense is a stout as ever.

The Commanders might be a year or two away from truly competing, but a lot of the components for them to be successful are there already.

The two teams will lock horns on Saturday at 11 a.m. at “JetLife” Stadium.
