Mid-Prairie’s Stafford Named All-State
Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk boys track and field star Jayden Stafford wrapped up a sensational spring on the oval, and recently received recognition from the Iowa Association of Track Coaches for his work this year. Stafford, who just completed his junior season for the Golden Hawks, was a four time All-State Selection by the IATC. He received the award in the wheelchair 100, 200, 400 and 800m events, with times of 18.46 seconds, 32.42 seconds, 1:02.90 and 2:14.15 respectively. Stafford was the state champion in all four events this spring and won the Drake Relays title in the 400m.

Six Raven Soccer Standouts Named All-Southeast Iowa Superconference
After a Southeast Iowa Superconference championship this spring, the Hillcrest Academy Raven boys soccer team slotted six players on All-SEISC teams. Two Ravens were First Team All-Superconference selections. Junior Micah Gerber was chosen to the first team. His 14 goals led the Ravens and were the third highest total in the league. Gerber’s 73 shots were most for the Ravens, fifth in conference, and his 36 shots on goal were most on the team, and seventh in conference play. Gerber ended with seven assists, second on the team and seventh in the Superconference.
