2 dead, multiple injured in shooting early Sunday morning
Champaign — Two teens are dead and several others injured in a shooting that happened early Sunday morning. Champaign police were dispatched to the 2000 block of Cynthia Drive around 12:30 a.m. for a report of a shooting with injuries. Western Illinois Summer Camp Shows Off Opportunities for Rural Students
Underserved youth were given an opportunity to develop their interest in enrolling in higher education at Western Illinois University in mid-July. High school students from school districts in Peoria, Monmouth, Beardstown and Macomb attended the Addressing Equity Gaps Among Rural Students summer camp at WIU, a project funded by the Department of Education’s Rural Postsecondary and Economic Development Program (RPED).
