WASHINGTON, N.C. (WNCT) — Deputies with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office are looking for a suspect after responding to a domestic assault call Friday in Washington.

Law enforcement responded to a home in Cherry Road Estates and found a female and child younger than 12 years old had been assaulted with weapons.

The suspect, 31-year-old Ryan Austin Stalls, left the scene prior to law enforcement’s arrival. Both victims were transported by EMS for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. The investigation is still ongoing.

Warrants for felony assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury and misdemeanor assault with a deadly weapon were taken out on Stalls. He also has an outstanding warrant for felony parole violation.

Stalls was last seen driving a dark blue, 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe with a 30-day registration tag. Law enforcement said additional charges will be coming.

Anyone with information on Stalls’ location is asked to call (252) 946-7111 or (252) 974-6400.
