Safety Upgrades at Morris St. & Ridgedale Ave. Intersection
Online Public Information Meeting Scheduled for Oct. 9, 2024. Morris County is receiving Federal Highway Safety Improvement Program Funds from the Federal Highway Administration through the North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority (NJTPA) for the design, construction and construction inspection services for safety improvements at the Morris Street (CR 510) and Ridgedale Avenue intersection in Morristown.

PHILLIPSBURG, NJ - Alessandra Tolentino and Ella Burke won their singles matches and second doubles partners Julie Kontoh and Mia Dy also were successful once again to lead the ninth-seeded Phillipsburg High School girl’s tennis team to a 3-2 victory over host and No. 8 seed Bayonne in an NJSIAA North 2 Group 4 first round match on Tuesday.The Stateliners won a state game for the second year in a row and for the third time in four seasons. Innovative Career and Health Fair Coming this Month
Area residents are invited to boost their careers and their health by attending an innovative Career & Health Fair hosted by Project Self-Sufficiency, Wednesday, October 16th, 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Local employers and educational institutions will be on hand to promote job openings and scholastic opportunities. In addition, flu and covid vaccines will be administered by ACME, vision screenings will be offered by the Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired, and representatives from area healthcare organizations will offer the latest information about the health and well-being of children and families. Additional job searching guidance, such as mock interviews, will be offered to attendees by Project Self-Sufficiency Career Center staff. A gift card will be awarded to a lucky Career & Health Fair attendee. The event is free and open to the public.

Boys soccer rankings for Sept. 30: Northwestern Lehigh, Voorhees and Hackettstown all move up
There’s minor changes on either end of the boys soccer rankings this week. Emmaus drew 1-1 with Pleasant Valley, which suffered its second defeat of the season, 5-2 to Northampton, earlier in the week. Both the Green Hornets and Bears drop down and Northwestern Lehigh, the lone undefeated local team, moves up.
