Davis to have hearing in August
HARRISVILLE, W.Va. — Charles B. Davis, 49, Washington, W.Va., appeared for a petition to revoke hearing on June 17 in front of Third Judicial Circuit Judge Tim Sweeney. Attorney Ira Richardson said, “Speaking with Davis and the State, he admits to allegations in the petition, and we ask this be set for a later date.”
More thunderstorms expected for the end of the week
PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) - The 4th of July was a soggy one across the Mid-Ohio Valley. Luckily, the storms held off last night to allow for fireworks to take place. Obviously, it would have been great no to get any rain for a holiday, but we do need it right now after a very dry June. So far, it looks like we are making up for it. Parkersburg was able to pick up around 0.85 inches of rain Thursday and add that to the running July total of 1.14 inches. With another chance for storms today, we will continue to add onto that.
Summer Music Series continues July 11 with Band of Brothers
PARKERSBURG — Artsbridge’s Summer Music Series in City Park continues Thursday, July 11, from 6:30-8 p.m. with the musical group Band of Brothers. A Clinton County fugitive who was on Pennsylvania State Police’s 10 Most Wanted List fatally shot himself as he was about to be arrested in West Virginia, authorities say.
