Gas prices: Lowest in months as another day of decreases hits the pumps

Gas prices dropped again on Monday as the average price for a gallon of regular gas fell to $3.351, according to AAA . This was a decrease from the average price for a gallon of regular gas last week, when it was $3.411, and a month ago, when it cost $3.519 per gallon. Monday’s price for gas heading into the week before Labor Day weekend, traditionally recognized as the last weekend of the summer, was much lower than the gas price on Memorial Day weekend, recognized as the first weekend of the summer.

Oklahoma is now the state with the cheapest gas in the country, with the average price for a gallon of regular gas at $2.881.
