Knox County Sheriff’s Office arrest Macomb on drug charges
Galesburg, Ill.- The Knox County, Illinois Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of a Macomb man on drug charges. According to a news release, on Wednesday, June 26th, the Knox County Sheriff’s Office Investigations Unit, assisted by the Knoxville Police Department, conducted a drug investigation and intercepted multiple packages of narcotics heading to a residence in Macomb.
Fireworks shoot at Galesburg firefighters while fighting garage fire
Firefighters in Galesburg had to deal with a large amount of fireworks shooting at them while fighting a garage fire Saturday afternoon. The Galesburg Fire Department said that at 2:59 p.m., they responded to the 900 block of Bateman Street in response to a structure fire at a home in the area. When they arrived, they found smoke and fire coming from the detached garage on the property and quickly dispatched multiple hose lines to fight the blaze.
