Early Wednesday morning fire in Galesburg displaces 4 people
GALESBURG, Ill. — Four people have been displaced after a fire broke out overnight in Galesburg, according to city officials. Around 2:15 a.m. on Wednesday, July 24, crews with the Galesburg Fire Department responded to the 1700 block of E. Main Street for a structure fire. According to a press release, firefighters noticed heavy flames coming out from numerous windows on the residence's first floor. Crews used multiple hose lines to control the fire from the exterior before tackling it from the inside, where they were able to fully extinguish the blaze.
