    Construction impacting drivers in East Tennessee this weekend

    KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — Several construction projects are expected to impact drivers in East Tennessee this weekend. WATE’s Bo Williams has what you need to know about road work expected this weekend.

    The City of Crossville shared that a portion of Northside Drive from South Drive to U.S. 127 North will be closed on April 15 while contractors install pipes crossing Northside Drive. The work is expected to be completed in 30 days and a detour will be set up at U.S. 70 North.

    Closures coming to Ramsey Cascades Trail during rehabilitation work

    The City of Knoxville shared a warning for Old City residents and visitors that Jackson Avenue between State and North. Central streets will be closed from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, April 14, for the Old City Market.

    To make the public aware of any ongoing construction projects, TDOT has released its weekly construction report for April 12 through April 17. The listing includes lane closures and road construction activities for 24 East Tennessee counties.

    The Tennessee Department of Transportation is also working to patch potholes across the state. If you see a pothole, you can report it to TDOT by calling 833-TDOT-FIX (836-8349).
