Fatal crash reported on Foothills Parkway in the Smokies

GATLINBURG, Tenn. (WATE) — A fatal crash in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park is under investigation.

A park spokesperson told 6 News that rangers responded to a crash on the Foothills Parkway on Saturday, Aug. 17 that resulted in a fatality. The identity of the victim has not yet been released.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
