    Sevier County constable facing DUI after late-night arrest

    SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — A Sevier County constable was arrested for driving under the influence by the Sevierville Police Department just before midnight on August 21.

    Accoridng to SPD, Samuel E. Scott was arrested just before midnight on Wednesday. He was stopped on Highway 66 near Arby’s Restaurant because police said the vehicle he was driving was failing to maintain its lane. He was then arrested for DUI and taken to the Sevier County Jail.

    The Sevier County Sheriff’s Office confirmed to WATE that Scott works as a constable in Sevier County.
