    Knoxville man charged with arson after fire at McDonalds

    KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — A Knoxville man is facing multiple charges after a fire broke out at a fast food restaurant in the early hours of Saturday.

    The Knoxville Fire Department responded to the McDonalds at 4420 Western Avenue at 3:18 a.m. where firefighters found fire in a wall on the front of the business.

    Investigators believe that the fire had been intentionally set by a man who was asked to leave the property earlier that night. The suspect returned to the scene while the investigation was being conducted and was apprehended by Knoxville Police.

    Dustin Arwood Jr., 29, was charged with aggravated arson, resisting arrest, and criminal trespassing.

    According to the fire department, the fire was contained to one area of the restaurant. The business remains open.
