LCSO: 67-year-old Waterloo man arrested for several child porn charges

LAUDERDALE COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) – The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Office arrested and charged a Waterloo man with several counts of “possessing obscene matter.”

On July 16, Lauderdale County investigators executed a warrant to search a home on County Road 14 in Waterloo.

Investigators had received a cyber-tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) about an AT&T account being used to upload child exploitation material in Lauderdale County.

The sheriff’s office said that during the search, investigators found and seized various items, including a computer that actively displayed child pornography.

Jimmy Davis Shook, 67, was arrested and charged with five counts of possession of obscene matter containing visual depiction of persons under 17 years of age involved in obscene acts.

He is currently being held at the Lauderdale County Detention Center on a $75,000 bond. The sheriff’s office says further charges are expected.
