City Officials Promoting Revitalization of Former Howden Buffalo Site
The city of New Philadelphia is reaching out to developers and potential tenants to see what they could do with the former Howden Buffalo property on South Broadway. Mayor Joel Day was telling council Monday night that the Tuscarawas County Economic Development and Finance Alliance is now seeking development proposals for the location. Responses are due by 3 pm on September 27th.

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) - It’s a nice and comfortable start to the day today, with many starting off under clear skies and temperatures around 60-degrees. There is a touch of fog in the southern valleys, a normal sight this time of year. Sunshine should be the dominant feature through the afternoon, with temperatures set to cruise back to 90°. It gets pleasant again during the evening and overnight hours. The mid-week ends up being the driest part of the week, which ends up being unfortunate when it comes to the weekend (despite the reality that we still need the rain).

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -The Flash drought of summer has jump started the typical autumn dry season. Already some leaves are browning and falling. The intense summer heat and lack of rain have taken their toll on more than just the trees and lawns (brown unless you are watering). Sandbars are showing up on our streams with small rivers like the Mud and Guyandotte having slowed their flow, with water levels down a few feet at Beech Fork Lake and Hurricane Reservoir.

Driver involved in standoff after allegedly pointing weapon at Charleston police officer
