    Rapids get wins over Saugerties and Glens Falls to keep win streak going

    GLENS FALLS, N.Y. (WWTI)- The Watertown Rapids picked up two more victories over the weekend run their winning streak to six games.

    Watertown rallied three times to overcome the Glens Falls Dragons, 9-7, in 10 innings Sunday night at East Field. This was the first game of a five-game, eight-day road trip due to the Jefferson County Fair.

    Ryan Kramer logged three hits and Peyton Shipman plated a pair of runs for the Rapids (14-15). Mason Collins worked four innings of relief to give Watertown the victory.

    Odilio Cespedes, Justin Gouveia and Christian Mote each recorded two RBIs for Glens Falls (4-21-1). Trevor Corlew took the loss for the Dragons.

    Kramer belted a three-run home run in the fourth inning on Friday to help the Rapids rally past the Saugerties Stallions, 5-4, on Friday night at the Alex T. Duffy Fairgrounds.

    Sam Meyer doubled and drove in a run while Greg Sherokow tossed four innings of relief as Watertown won its last home game before the longest road swing of the season.

    Andrew Amato posted a pair of RBIs while Derek Constance was saddled with the loss.

    Watertown travels to Utica to play the Blue Sox at 6:45 p.m. at Murnane Field. The Rapids return home on Monday, July 15 to play the Boonville Lumberjacks at 6:30 p.m.
