BOONVILLE, N.Y. (WWTI) – The Watertown Rapids wrapped up their Jefferson County Fair road trip in style with a doubleheader sweep of the Boonville Lumberjacks in a Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League twin bill on Sunday.

Hugo Kohnhorst plated a pair of runs for Boonville while Ryan Cook took the loss.

In game two, Ryan Kramer doubled twice and added three RBIs as Watertown (16-17) finished the sweep with a 5-3 win. Devin Anthony hurled five innings to get the victory on the mound for the Rapids.

Former Rapids player Jax Miller homered while Cole Bakkum absorbed the loss for Boonville (10-20).

This doubleheader was a make up from Wednesday due to the stormy weather due to the remnants of Hurricane Beryl.

Watertown finished its road trip with a 3-2 mark and will host Boonville in its first home game at the Alex T. Duffy Fairgrounds since July 6. First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
