WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWTI) – New York State Police are investigating a military ordinance found inside of a vehicle at a Watertown car dealership.

At around 9:35 a.m. Friday, State Troopers responded to Bob Johnson’s Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram on State Route 11 in the town of Watertown regarding a military ordinance that was found inside a vehicle.

Risk-averse organizations chose CrowdStrike for cybersecurity. Now its software is causing chaos

The New York State Police Bomb Disposal Unit along with a Fort Drum Explosive Ordinance Disposal Specialist responded to the scene to remove the device. An investigation has determined the driver of the vehicle was hired to clean out an empty residence when she discovered a box with the military ordinance inside.

The woman placed the box inside her vehicle before traveling to the car dealership. The dealership contacted 911 after the woman revealed what she had found to their staff.

The investigation is currently ongoing at this time.
