    Casino Speedway, second night of Brown County Speedway special wiped out by rain

    WATERTOWN — The mid-afternoon rain shower that hit Watertown wiped out Sunday night's scheduled racing program at Casino Speedway.

    All six regular classes of cars are scheduled to take part in a special Toys for Tots program on Sunday, July 28 at 6:30 p.m.

    Brown County Speedway

    ABERDEEN — Josh Skorczewski of Aberdeen and Justin Vogel of Brooten (Minn.) each won features during the Dacotah Bank Rumble on Friday night.

    The second night of the event on Saturday was washed out by rain. Friday's program included 38 street stocks and 37 late models.

    Skorczewski won the 30-lap late model feature and Vogel the 25-lap street stock main.

    A regular racing program is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Friday.

    Madison Speedway

    MADISON, Minn. — Ortonville (Minn.) drivers Derek Rieck and Joe Arndt each won feature races on Saturday night.

    Rieck took the Midwest modified main and Arndt the pure stocks main.

    Area heat winners included Josh Long of Canby, Minn. (street stocks); Minnesota drivers Shane Dejong of Boyd and Scott Tofte of Madison (Midwest modifieds); and South Dakota drivers Tony Konold of Clear Lake and Dylan Zabel of Selby (modifieds).

    The Timmy Ims Midwest Modified Special is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Saturday.

    Fiesta City Speedway

    MONTEVIDEO, Minn. — Mike Stearns of Aberdeen won the modified feature Friday night during the Timmy Ims Midwest Modified Special.

    The event featured 38 Midwest modifieds including Mike Nichols of Watertown, who won the B feature.

    Area drivers who posted heat wins were Joe Arndt of Ortonville, Minn. (pure stocks), Trevor Nelson of Warner (super stocks) and Adam VanDerostyne of Canby, Minn. (hornets).
