UTICA — A Utica man is accused of raping a woman in the city earlier this month, according to law enforcement officials with the Utica Police Department. Police said that Abdullah Williams, 21, raped a woman in Utica on the evening of Monday, June 17.
Central NY woman dies after being hit by car, name released
Lenox, N.Y. – A 53-year-old woman died after being hit by a car while walking in the road in Madison County Wednesday, troopers said. Lezlie Moyer-Hansen, of Chittenango, was walking in the driving lane of Route 5 near Clark Circle in the town of Lenox around 7:51 p.m. when a 2016 block Honda CR-V hit her, troopers said in a news release Thursday.

Employee accused of stealing from Pursuit Aerospace in Whitestown
WHITESTOWN — A 47-year-old man is accused of stealing from his employer at Pursuit Aerospace, according to the Oneida County Sheriff's Office. Sheriff's deputies said they were notified in early May that an employee was stealing property from their business. According to their website, Pursuit Aerospace in Whitestown builds aircraft engine components. Following an investigation, deputies said employee Ryan C. Conway, 47, of Vernon, was taken into custody on Friday.
NRPS investigating weapons incident at Port Colborne resort
On Sunday, June 23 at 12:42am, Niagara Regional Police responded to the Sherkston Shores Resort on Empire Road in Port Colborne, in response to an armed persons call. Initial information received said there was a report of an armed person on the beach at the resort possibly with a firearm and a second occurrence, involving several people being sprayed, with what was believed to be a bear spray repellant. Officers arrived on scene and were aided by Sherkston Shores Security in finding three males who were trying to flee in a car. Officers stopped the car and found “bear spray” inside. 18 year old Giancarlo, Micieli and a 16-year-old youth male, both from Hamilton were arrested and charged with possession of a prohibited Weapon – “Bear Spray”, while 21 year old Liam Ryan Donnelly-Lavelle of Hamilton was arrested and charged with possession of a prohibited weapon – “Bear Spray”, and possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose. NRPS officers are continuing to investigate the report of an armed person on the beach at the resort and the second occurrence, involving several people being sprayed with bear spray. To date, no victims have come forward and police are looking to find possible victims and additional witnesses. The occurrences are believed to be related.
Frankfort man found drunk in stolen vehicle
BAINBRIDGE, NY (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY) — New York State Police arrested a Frankfort man after he was found drunk in a stolen vehicle on Thursday, June 27. Troopers were called to Jericho Road in the Town of Bainbridge at approximately 8:45 pm on Thursday on a complaint of a suspicious male. When they arrived at the scene, they found a male — later identified as 28-year-old Jacob Roach of Frankfort — in a vehicle parked in the driveway of a residence where he didn’t belong.
