Woman found dead at scene of fire in Watkins
Firefighters in Arapahoe County on Monday morning responded to a fire at a house. Authorities said a body was found in the home soon after the first responders got there.The person who died was determined to be a woman. The circumstances surrounding her death are unclear. Woman dies in south Denver shooting near Glendale
A woman is dead after she was shot in south Denver on Saturday afternoon, according to the Denver Police Department. The shooting occurred in the 800 block of south Dexter Street, according to a DPD posting on social media platform X. Police received a call over shots fired at 4:37 p.m., a DPD spokesperson said. Shots were fired in an area of south Denver bordering Glendale. Police said a woman was transported to the hospital, where she later died. Authorities announced Sunday morning that a 51-year-old male suspect was arrested late last night on first-degree murder charges related to the shooting.
