St. Cloud’s New Business Improvement District Clears Initial Hurdle
(KNSI) — A new St. Cloud business improvement district cleared the first of two major hurdles Monday night. City council approved establishment of the zone, which would use a combination of fees paid by commercial property owners and pledged sponsorships for cleaning, security, and other beautification efforts. St. Cloud Man’s Murder Trial Begins in Benton County
FOLEY (WJON News) -- A three-week murder trial involving a St. Cloud man gets underway in Benton County this week. Thirty-eight-year-old Michael Carpenter is charged with 1st-degree premeditated murder and one count of 2nd-degree murder with intent after a shooting incident that killed a woman outside an east St. Cloud business.

Statewide Missing Person Alert For 17-Year-Old Minnesota Girl
Sartell, MN (KROC-AM News) - A statewide alert has been issued for a missing Minnesota teenager. The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension says 17-year-old Kaydence Johnson has been missing for 30 days and is now considered and endangered missing person. The alert says she and another teenage girl ran away from a residence in the City of Sartell on June 22.

(KNSI) – A high-profile murder trial began Monday in Benton County. Michael Carpenter is accused of shooting a coworker on October 24th, 2022, in the parking lot of a St. Cloud textile factory before their shift started. Witnesses say that they saw Carpenter get out of his vehicle and walk toward the south end of the lot, where he allegedly fired a pistol at 28-year-old Nicole Hammond, killing her.
