Interim principals appointed for pair of Athens public schools
Clarke County Schools Superintendent Dr. Robbie Hooker has announced the appointment of two interim principals for the 2024-25 school year. April Braswell, who served as principal of Whitehead Road Elementary School the past five years, has been appointed interim principal at W.R. Coile Middle School, replacing Beverly Ford who resigned last week.

Coile Middle School principal announces resignation
Dr. Beverly L. Ford, principal of Coile Middle School, submitted her resignation, effective immediately. Ford has spent 18 years working for the Clarke County School District, as a teacher, a specialist in special education behavior and then in administrative positions at the elementary and middle school levels. She spent the last four years as the principal of Coile Middle School.
